Pairing shared mobility services with public transportation provides the most sustainable Mobility-as-a-Service App yet to the last mile challenge.

[ LONDON, FEBRUARY 11, 2020 — ] Vulog, the global leader in shared technology, and Citymapper, the leading transportation application, will collaborate to increase shared mobility options available through the popular MaaS aggregator.

The agreement, announced here at MOVE London and effective immediately, allows for mobility operators, powered by Vulog, to display and give access to their vehicles via the Citymapper application. Pairing shared mobility services with public transportation provides the most sustainable solution to the last mile challenge

“We are very proud of this collaboration with Citymapper, a driving force in the mobility-as-a-service technology revolution,” says Vulog CEO Grégory Ducongé. “Together, we are working to make the MaaS Application a reality, easing the life of urban city dwellers by making mobility enjoyable, accessible and sustainable.”

Citymapper and Vulog are integrating their platforms so that users can easily access the vehicles of Vulog clients, including large fleets of electric cars, mopeds, kick-scooters and mixed schemes. Vulog expects for this initiative to facilitate the continuous growth of their clients’ business by giving Citymapper users in 41 different cities access to their services.

On average, Vulog powers approximately 20 million rides per year in over 30 cities around the globe, and is expected to bring its operations to 60 cities by the end of the year. Fifteen of these cities lie within the coverage of both Vulog and Citymapper.

“We are excited to work with Vulog to provide more shared and electric mobility options for our users” says Citymapper President Omid Ashtari.

As a start, the partnership will allow for more than 30 of Vulog’s large-scale projects to be able to be featured on the platform, with fleet sizes as large as 2,000 vehicles in cities such as Paris, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Madrid and Washington, DC.
