Ever since their introduction in 2015, the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have been universally recognized for their crucial role in safeguarding the planet and enhancing the well-being of all its inhabitants. While current reports indicate that the world is falling short of achieving these goals in their entirety by 2030, Vulog remains committed to developing cutting-edge technology that substantially contributes to two of the goals: SDG 13 Climate action, and SDG 11 Sustainable cities and communities.

Vulog’s Commitment to SDG 13: Climate action

With an estimated 1.5 billion cars worldwide, passenger vehicles are a leading culprit in carbon emissions. Shared mobility solutions are one of the best ways to fight back against climate change, as every shared car replaces approximately 10 privately-owned vehicles. Vulog empowers companies  around the globe with the advanced technology needed to operate successful shared mobility operations. In 2022 Vulog’s platform saved 200,000 tons of CO2, a number that will rise to a projected 3 million tons annually by 2028 thanks to advancements in our technology.

Vulog’s commitment to SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities

Unsurprisingly, cities are among the greatest contributors to, as well as the most impacted by, air pollution.Vulog fuels shared mobility services, spanning shared cars, mopeds, and bikes, in over 50 cities worldwide. These services offer urban residents not just a greener mode of transportation, but also a more equitable and economical one. By reducing the number of private cars on the road, cities can also focus on initiatives to improve life for their inhabitants. One such benefit is the reclaiming of parking spaces in order to plant more trees, build more parks, and create more bike lanes. Cities across the globe embracing shared mobility are cultivating more inclusive and sustainable communities.
